Vegas Trip 2 – Day 10: Independence Day

Being the dedicated Australian football fans we are, we were up at 2.45am to watch last Origin game at an adorably dingy pub Crown & Anchor, and were back in bed at 5am.
Today is the 4th of July which means party even harder in Vegas town. We were booked in for a cabana at Marquee pool party. I got to wear my new heels, yippee!

We drunkenly stumbled to the Rio to rail our friend who was running deep in the 1.5k event, but i couldn’t stay up. I stumbled home to rest up and ended up

watching the fireworks all around Vegas burbs from our balcony.

He ended up Finished second in the 1.5k event just missing out on a bracelet.

Vegas Trip 2 – Day 9

Before Brendon went off to play the 10k we hit the gym & steam room and had a healthy breakfast together in our room.

Later i walked over to the Rio and caught the free shuttle to Harrahs and walked up to Miracle Mile at Planet Hollywood. Shopping.
Bought this gorgeous maxi at Urban Outfitters… and a shirt for Brendo.

Met Jackie and Jamie at Fire Fly tapas, we all went to Palazzo, where i saw these beautiful women playing violin, but realized i got too drunk too quickly and decided to go home.

I woke up as Brendon came home cos he had busted so we played Pai Gow until i got a migraine and went back to get some sleep in before our early morning adventure to watch The State of Origin at some wonderfully dingy English pub.

Vegas Trip 2 – Day 5

Brendon went back for day 2 of the 5k event at Rio and was chip leader by the end of the day!

I did some work by the pool, went for lunch at Tropical Smoothie Cafe with jamie and visited Brendo on the rail until his dinner break when he came and picked me up and we went for dinner at one of our Fave places called Mr Sandwich.

I spent the next 3 hours dancing around our room getting ready to go with Jamie to meet friends of his at Marquee nightclub in Cosmopolitan. It was the best! I danced all night to an amazing DJ i’d never heard of but in this club, it doesn’t matter. It really puts any nightclub in Australia to shame. 3 levels, 4 dance floors, a pool, cabanas, beautiful big booths, and crazy good dancers. Had such a great night until about 5am when i left the club and some sleeze-ball tried to force me to make out with him and my cab driver nearly beat him. Haha. Fun times. Cannot believe i didn’t take any pics!! Cray.

Vegas Trip 2 – Day 2

Took Brendon to finally get his hair cut. I think a lot of people were happy with this, but mostly me…

Took a while to realise we had to bribe the valet at the Rio to jump start Brendon’s hire car, but it was $15 well spent….

Then we went to my favourite place in Vegas – Fashion Show Mall.

But before shopping Brendon needs fuel, so first some lunch at RA Sushi…

After we had decked Brendo out in a new wardrobe, (and bought me the cutest lil’ denim backpack) we met jay, Vic, Adam & Matt at KISS glow in the dark Mini golf. Yeah, awesome.

Vegas Trip 2 – Day 1

My flight with United was pretty average. Not that i cared, i was too busy dying of excitement to get to Vegas and to Brendon. Unsuccessfully tried to drink my way through the flight…

Pretttyyyyy….

Arrived only 30 minutes to late to watch Jackie place second in the 2.5k at the Rio.

Brendon met me at Palms Place (our new home) and we headed to a mexican place we love called El Segundo where the celebrations had already begun. I decided to push through the jet lag and not worry about the consequences, so i hit the margaritas hard.

After drinks we went to a Hookah Lounge and smoked favoured tobacco until we were all pretty much sick.

Vegas Trip 1 – Day 17: Asian Poker

Today was pretty lax, hung by the pool, headed to the Rio so Brendon could play a sit’n’go which didn’t actually get off the ground til 8 hours later. So we learnt to play asian poker which we love, and played sooooo much Craps, which i am obsessed with. It’s so fun!!!

I talked us into some ‘kinda’ free tix to a comedy show that was playing in the Rio which was surprisingly good. Tried to talk Brendon into seeing a Chippendale show but he wasn’t that keen 🙂 Highlight of the day was watching two old fogies on motorised carts race each other through the casino. We nearly died of laughter.

Vegas Trip 1 – Day 15: For every sugar high, there is a sugar low

So we have a sleep schedule for poker which is pretty much sleeping between 2pm and 11am. Today I ‘escorted’ Brendon to the Rio to play and decided to stick around and play a lil while he worked. So straight to the slushee bar, which kept me pretty happy while i turned my $5 into $100! Suck on that Brendooor! hahaha. Jks. But the jokes on me because a few hours later i felt so sick that i spewed up bright blue and had to walk back to the hotel in 45 degree heat to sober up. By this time it is 12.30pm. lol.
