Pancakes and omelettes for a winners breakfast and a tournament on the tennis court. Brendon won. Standard.
McGuigan Wines first stop, bought a bottle of Semillon for our housemates…
On to chocolate cafe the most amazing Belgium chocolate! bad decision it would turn out as we were headed to Sabor dessert bar for a dark and white chocolate volcano. So yum but so sweet and we were all in a coma after.
We made 1 last stop at Mount Pleasant to try olive oils but aparatly they don’t do that anymore. No matter, wasn’t going to put a damper on what was a great weekend. Neither was the vommiting some of our party did. Just a little too much chocolate and wine.
What an amazing weekend!! Thanks to my besties, thier hubby’s and my wonderful man.
Straight up & out for a group-swing on the golf course. Although we all played well, Mark won, greatest shot goes to Brendo who skimmed his across the lake to make it onto the green, and stupidest act goes to my jump out of the cart on the way home, severely injuring myself.
We dragged the boys off the course after 9 holes to get to our hired a maxi for 3 hours to hit up 6 wineries.
First stop, Pink blush champagne bar… tasty champagnes and sparkling wines…
Stop 2: Pepper Tree Wines. I bought a perfect bottle of Verdelho that Brendon actually liked!!
Stop 3: Tempus two. Sterile look and feel in comparison to all the other wineries with their rustic style cellars, but a great smelly cheese shop.
Stop 4: Tyrell’s, small but a beautiful view…
Number 5: A lady at our estate winery recommended Piggs Peake Winery for sweet, fruity reds, but we were turned away, they said they were full but i think they heard us coming from down the road and made a good decision.
Last stop: Blue Tongue Brewery Cafe. Afternoon beer flights, yum…
Home at 5pm pretty tipsy and happy, we played poker (and i busted Brendo!!)
We decided to utilise the villa and cook a delicious BBQ spread and watch the football. Perfect end to the perfect day.

I was so excited to get to Hunter (crossing it off my 30 by 30 list is so satisfying)
Left at 10am for the 4 hour drive. It’s a pretty great drive though… especially when your Boyfriend never lets you drive. Works for me!
We all stayed in a 3 bedroom Villa on the golf course at Brokenwood Estate.
We were booked in first thing at the day spa for winter package of a foot scrub, massage, facial, foot rub and head massage. Quick dip in the steam room and the pool on our way out. This was the view from the spa…
Brendon was feeling a little effeminate after joining us at the spa, and ran off to join the boys for a quick hit of golf. After some freshening up we enjoyed a wine tasting with a free cheese platter and bottle of wine at ‘s ‘cellar door’ (that’s a hunter term lol) until the boys came and alienated the waitress with their “stupidity”.
Dinner was at Harrigans irish pub; great food, a live band and a shuttle bus. Bit of a group gambling binge in the TAB.
Back at the Villa we played spoons and chase the ace till the wee hours….
